Schedule staff shifts and track attendance for payroll
Matt
Businesses with casual or part-time staff, such as cafes, retail stores or hospitality venues, often need to plan weekly rosters to ensure all shifts are covered. Staff need to know when they’re scheduled and the roster needs to be easily updated when things change. At the end of each pay cycle, actual attendance (vs planned shifts) should be recorded, so it can be used to calculate pay.

Thanks for raising this. A built-in rostering feature could definitely help businesses keep everything in one place and make life easier for both managers and staff.
It's not a small addition, though. We'd need to create tools for employers to set up and publish rosters, give employees access to view their shifts and handle updates in real time. We'd also need a way to record actual attendance against planned shifts so payroll calculations are accurate.
Before we explore this further, it would help to know how detailed you'd like the roster to be. Would it just show dates and times, or also roles, locations and notes for each shift? And would you want staff to be able to swap shifts or request changes through the system? The more we understand, the better we can design it.
