Businesses with casual or part-time staff, such as cafes, retail stores or hospitality venues, often need to plan weekly rosters to ensure all shifts are covered. Staff need to know when they’re scheduled and the roster needs to be easily updated when things change. At the end of each pay cycle, actual attendance (vs planned shifts) should be recorded, so it can be used to calculate pay.

At the moment only business administrators can log into the system. We'd love for employees to be able to log in too. They could view their own records, download payslips and keep their personal info up to date. This would make things easier for everyone and reduce the back-and-forth for basic requests.

Instead of fixing monthly pay dates to the default "pay run end date plus 4 days", please provide the flexibility for user selectable day-of-month. The ATO is agnostic on whether salaries are paid in arrears or by how many days. The risk of submitting an incorrect pay date to STP will be circumvented by setting the employer's actual regular pay date.
